Far from 'shabby'

I have gone completely opposite to 'shabby' and made these all shiny.  In real life you would think they are actually glazed crockery.  Two different shades of white.

I hope to get these up on my website very soon - it just takes ages.

Also making candle sticks and candles.  Colours brass/gold, copper and silver and of course 2 different whites.

Experimenting with finishing off

Hi everybody

I am learning new ways of finishing off my prints and I am very pleased with the results so far.

Colours may be a little too bright for some but I am making something different to that which I usually do.  Mixed with softer tones I think these will work.

Working on light grey, white and a bright blue too.

Also updated my cooker ranges these will now be made part laser cut and part 3D printed.  This is a photo of my first one.

Another Post so soon!

Just thought I would share with you something I have made for a dear friend in Italy.  Monica has beautiful ideas and relayed to me what she would like for a specific size room in her dollhouse.  I made this working to Monica's measurements and sketches.  She has been very patient and waited a long time for me to finally get around to finishing it.

Here I have just placed the kitchen pieces in the same footprint for her room and just put a few things on it to take the pictures.  Everything I have made the only purchased pieces are the glass jars on the mantle over the cooker, which I decorated with bits and bobs. Also the bit of greenery on top of the corner wall shelf was a purchased piece.

Back from visiting Guernsey and armed with loads of ideas

It was great to see all our family and catch up on so many things that time allowed.

I was really lucky this visit I was actually able to visit my sisters' seafront stall (the last one for the season).  As usual they produced some lovely pieces and attracted a good crowd, they are so talented.  Of course I took some photos and am now busy copying their items in miniature.

Before I started my miniaturising of their pieces I just had the urge to make something for the inside of some lanterns I bought ages ago and have had nothing in them and so they looked a little sorry for themselves.  This first one I have filled is just put together with my pieces that I have made and have just stuffed into drawers or boxes.  This is when I need my sisters here as I could just give them the boxes and they would just know what goes together, whilst I take ages 'phaffing' around not really getting anywhere!

I love dogs and have been making a few with my 3D Printer, you will see one curled up in the photos.  I have a few Westie ones also.  My garden ornaments I have been making for ages now (must put some on my site !

Altered bottles and jars

I need shelf fillers for my dollhouses and I am sure you all agree it's all these little touches that make a scene so much better.

I will shortly be visiting my sisters in Guernsey and can't wait to see all their new ideas and I will be ready with my camera to capture all their creations in their homes to miniature everything down for my miniature homes.

I have photos of things that I have made from the pics taken of their pieces last year that I have miniaturised and have just grouped a few to give you an example.  I will be adding some of these items to my website, but not until I get back from my trip.
